BUNTE MÜNCHNER KINDL
Together for a good start to school in Munich.
Bunte Münchner Kindl is a project run by the charitable foundation “Wir helfen München”. Since 2016, the initiative has provided free essential school supplies to children and young people aged up to 18 who live and attend school in Munich. These include school bags, exercise books, pens, pencil cases, paint sets and workbooks. The project is funded entirely by donations, with volunteers helping to pack and distribute the supplies.

Two donation boxes are available throughout the year at the reception of Holiday Inn Munich – City Centre. You are welcome to make a voluntary contribution. We pass the collected donations on to Bunte Münchner Kindl.
Our team lends a hand.
On 5 August and 9 September 2026, members of our hotel team helped the initiative’s volunteers pack school bags. Based on an internal estimate, they helped pack approximately 100 school bags across the two sessions.
Our goal for 2027.
In 2027, we aim to take part in five further packing sessions, with dates to be agreed with the initiative.
